My Journey
Always curious about why humans behave and think in particular ways, I pursued an undergraduate degree in psychology and cognitive science. My world was nearly turned upside down in my fourth year when I realized how advancements in neuroscience and experimental method might alter the very foundations of psychology. At this moment, a class in educational game design drew me in and sparked my passion for understanding how people learn. I dove right into the field, designing STEAM kits at the University of Virginia’s Make to Learn studio and creating innovative summer programs early in my career. Working alongside subject matter experts and aspiring young educators, I experienced the profound joy and tears that come with witnessing even the smallest changes in my students.
The strong desire to scale up impact led me to the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where I developed eLearning modules for early childhood service providers, quickly attracting over 5000 active users within the first month of launch. Seeking to expand my influence in adult learning, I designed a GenAI toolkit, inspired a cohort of 150 graduate students, evaluated the effectiveness of an online professional development course, and crafted comprehensive teacher guides for adolescent social-emotional learning series.
On this journey, I gradually found myself both designing and living the experiences of exploring, creating, sharing, and reflecting alongside my learners.
